ALYSSA

FOUNDER AND COACH

Aloha šŸ‘‹ my name is Alyssa I’m the founder of Pali Ke Kua Wellness! I help busy professionals optimize their health by getting strong and using food as medicine to heal the gut.Ā The fitness industry can be downright confusing—I’ve bounced between P90X, Hard 75, raw vegan diets, and more. They all work... until they don’t!

I track macros, but it’s not the end-all-be-all; it’s just a tool to help nourish your body with more micro and macronutrients. As a hybrid athlete, I love paddling and swimming, but I also like to be ready to run at a moment’s notice—just in case a bear decides to chase me! I also believe in building strong muscles so I can open any jar I want for a lifetime and, of course, to maintain strong bones and keep my brain sharp.

I take a few supplements, but I focus on getting most of my vitamins and minerals from my diet. Unfortunately, we live in a time when toxins are everywhere. Now more than ever, it’s important to be aware of ingredients, pesticides, and hormone disruptors. As a former taro farmer (mahiā€˜ai kalo), I believe it’s our responsibility to make the world a better place. Supporting small local farms, especially regenerative ones, benefits both our health and the environment.Ā If any of this resonates, maybe I’m the coach for you!

As a lifelong fitness enthusiast, I once followed the ā€œif it fits your macrosā€ mindset, focusing solely on hitting calorie and macro goals. But over time, I realized that true health goes far beyond numbers. I experienced firsthand the consequences of pushing my body too hard and neglecting proper nourishment and stress management. My body shut down, forcing me to address the deeper issues I’d been ignoring.

This pivotal experience transformed my approach to health and fitness. Now, as a coach and functional nutritionist, I’m dedicated to helping women reconnect with their mind, body, and soul. I believe that optimal health isn’t just about reaching physical goals; it’s about nourishing ourselves with the right nutrients, managing stress, and creating a balanced, fulfilling life.

My passion is to empower my clients to prioritize their well-being amidst the chaos of work, marriage, raising children, and life’s many demands. I’m here to guide and support you in breaking through barriers, cultivating self-discipline, and finding sustainable ways to be your best self in health, fitness, and life overall. We’re on this journey together, and it’s just the beginning!

Corinne is the virtual assistant for Pali Ke Kia Wellness, and your go-to for any administrative questions. In her free time, Corinne can probably be found anywhere but home. She enjoys hiking, traveling, surfing, and just general exploring. If at home, she likes to cook for her friendsĀ or head over to her local hot yoga studio to sweat it out.
